Society Mandate

The Fernie River Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to maintaining river access and cleanup, and promoting
youth kayaking.

Current projects other than the Riverfest include the Elk River clean up, improving river access on the Lower Elk and the youth paddling program.

In-town paddling facilities such as a slalom course and play features will also be a goal.

Funds will be generated from events, sponsorships
and donations.
